Table of Keypresses for Handshapes
Notes on the Table
- Single keypresses usually give the handshape or numeral hand that would be used to spell that letter or sign the number. This is just a device for helping you to remember keypresses, it's nothing to do with typing fingerspelling or numbers.
- Other handshapes are entered by typing two letters. See for a demonstration of how to learn these..
- These are still open to change, perhaps drastic change. Don't work too hard at learning this as it stands, because we are still expecting feedback from users on how to improve the keyboard.
Other Keypresses
Where marked "(+Cntrl)" you can hold down the Control key for finer control.
- [ orient leftwards. (+Cntrl)
- ] orient rightwards. (+Cntrl)
- ' rotate anticlockwise. (+Cntrl)
- # rotate clockwise. (+Cntrl)
- / move between floor plane and wall plane.
- \ change layering of hands.
- Enter move the focus to the next channel.
- Control-Enter move to the next syllable.
- up arrow move the handshape up. (+Cntrl)
- down arrow move the handshape down. (+Cntrl)
- left arrow move the handshape left. (+Cntrl)
- right arrow move the handshape right. (+Cntrl)
- < left body shift. (+Cntrl)
- > right body shift. (+Cntrl)
- Control-i zoom in.
- Control-o zoom out.
- Control-z undo.
- Control-s save file.
- Control-l load file.
- Control-p save to Postscript file.
